Project Analyst (Direct Project Support)

BASF the Chemical Company consolidated its plant biotechnology activities in BASF Plant Science in 1998. Today, about 800 employees are working to optimize crops for more efficient agriculture, renewable raw materials and healthier nutrition. We are in search of a Project Analyst.
The position will assume responsibility to proactively support Project Managers and Core Team Members to ensure that projects remain on track, within budget and that reports and records are performed and kept in a transparent and harmonized way according to BASF global standards.
The incumbent in this position will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide support to Project Managers in order in:
- proper planning and tracking of resources
- set up and tracking of Project Plans
- tracking milestones and progress
- preparing and updating routine presentations
- maintaining project documentation
- project individual tasks (e.g. Stage Promotions)
- Keep project record in PhaseGate according to BASF standards
- Participate in cross-project analyses and initiatives to increase efficiency, quality and/or foster experience exchange across projects
- Together with all Project Analysts in Project Support ensure a comprehensive and consistent view on the BASF Plant Science Project Portfolio
QUALIFICATIONS:
BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
REQUIRED:
- Masters degree in a biological science - OR Bachelor degree in a biological science with 3 years experience in the biotechnology industry
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- Creative problem solving and demonstrated analytical thinking skills, with strong sense of time management and multitasking ability
- Ability to work in a team environment encompassing multiple disciplines
- Sound knowledge on the use of Microsoft office tools
- Ability to meet goals and to attain the desired results under time pressure and in a fast changing environment
- Proficient written and verbal English skills
PREFERRED:
- Experience in Project Management
- Experience with data and/or document management
- Experience in agricultural biotechnology
- Experience with MS Project
