Job Description

• Ensure high levels of seed quality through rigorous and perfect internal QM inspections of seed crops , processing operations and storages .
• Collecting the details of seed prod program in the area from the R&D [for BS ] and Prodn Dept , on season to season basis / from time to time and preparing the detailed QM inspection plan / schedule .
• Keeping track of the production program implementation and planning the QM Inspections in consultation with the Production Team and QM Dept , Jalna .
• Random internal QM Inspections of seed crops , processing operations and seed storages as per the targets fixed by the QM Dept to ascertain compliance and conformity to the prescribed seed quality standards .
• Keeping adequately updated with the distinguishing / identification features of the vars / parents / genotypes in the seed production chain in the area .
• Maintaining close interaction with the Production & Processing Teams and regularly keeping them posted / informed about the observations made during the QM inspections ; so as to facilitate any possible corrective action for improving the seed quality
• Constant liaison with the local level R&D and PED for the products in the pipeline , their expected availability for seed production , their features etc .
• Presenting the Monthly MIS QM Dept , Jalna on the QM activities carried out in the area ; and arranging season 's review of the QM activities carried out in the area bringing out important observations

Candidate Profile (Required)

• M.Sc. (Ag) in Seed Technology
• Good knowledge of TQM and operations for Seed industry
• Need to be a team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to travel extensively
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience (Minimum 5 years in Managerial Role)

Candidate Profile (Desired)

• PhD in Seed Technology
• Knowledge of office functions and processes, including MS Office, MS Databases and Spreadsheets, and SAP
• Ability to work in a team environment, and manage the cross functional team
