Weed Control Biologist

Location: Jealott’s Hill, Bracknell, Berkshire, United Kingdom

£36,000 - £42,000 pa + benefits (depending on expertise)
 
Weeds pose an important challenge to farmers around the world, and weed evolution means there is a constant need to discover and develop new control technologies. Syngenta is a leading supplier of herbicide solutions. We are looking for a weed scientist to join a multi-disciplinary team committed to this vital work.
 
As part of our Weed Control Biology Group, you will design glasshouse and field experiments, and provide expert input to help drive our research programmes. Essentially you’ll have a first degree, and ideally a PhD, plus considerable experience of weed biology, agronomy and control practices. The role will involve some international travel. This is a rare opportunity to enter the industry at an influential level within Syngenta.
