Clearfield Value Chain Specialist (High Plains)
Location: Nebraska, USA JOB DESCRIPTION:
BASF is seeking field based, Clearfield Specialists to support the Clearfield wheat, sunflower and lentil businesses. This position works closely with BASF Clearfield seed channel, growers and influencers to support and create demand for BASF's Clearfield technology. Clearfield Specialists will also work in concert with Crop Protection Business Representatives to identify, assist and act as a resource for support of the Clearfield System and related products in their geographic area of responsibility. The Clearfield Specialist will be responsible for providing support to seed accounts in the geography and meeting BASF goals and objectives for the Clearfield business. Responsibilities would also include developing a business plan to segment and target seed companies, key influencers along the entire value chain, developing short and long term customer action plans and anticipating/responding to market dynamics.
This position will also be responsible for Clearfield Seed Certification requirements, stewardship compliance and implementing Clearfield programs The incumbent will participate in district, regional, or national cross functional teams, as well as be required to provide timely and accurate administration and will communicate customer needs to others in the organization. This position requires approximately 60% travel (including overnight travel).
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Science (such as Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology) or related field with at least 5 years of territory management experience -or- Masters degree with at least 2 years of territory management experience
- Agro business experience
- Understanding of herbicides and herbicide tolerant technology
- Understanding of seed production technology

- Selected candidates must be willing to live in the assigned territory (Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska)
