Job Description:

Focused on formulation of new products, seed treatment testing, and data generation. Initially the position will be remote, then more focused in a physical lab as the facilities are built. Interact with Aginnovation team members on key business projects aligned with the company strategy and goals. The position will entail elements of the following:

• Product Based Tasks
  • Work on formulations, new platform/product development, and seed enhancements
  • Optimize existing formulations and create new formulations
  • Plan and manage internal projects to enhance the portfolio
• Project Based Tasks
  • Collaborate in building out and setting up new laboratory space
  • Participate in customer intake surveys and help build coordinating project proposals
  • Work on specific seed treatment and enhancement projects for customers
  • Analyze lab output data and create relevant presentations and reports
• Working with the team
  • Join sales team coordinated customer meetings to introduce portfolio
  • Take part in in meetings with suppliers to discuss and sample new raw materials
  • Plan involvement in relevant company and industry meetings and conferences
• Other Responsibilities
  • Cover responsibilities of R&D Manager as needed
  • Help coordinate and analyze field trial data

Experience:

• Preferred M.S. Degree or higher, or 5+ years' experience in formulation/seed industry
• Experience with formulation work, with knowledge in the seed treatment space desired
• Comfort in working independently in a laboratory
• Ability to interact with customers on calls and in person events
• Desire to work well in a team/collaborative environment
• Self-motivated in working as part of a widespread team
