Yield Trial Manager

AgReliant Genetics is currently seeking a Yield Trial Manager for our Kenyon, MN research location.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Station Manager, performs all aspects of the station’s yield trial program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, customer service and professionalism; responsible for promoting a positive image of the company and the research department.
- Responsible for the organization of yield testing network of the breeding program;
- Assists with data entry and data preparation as needed;
- Manages yield crew throughout all aspects of yield trial preparation, planting, plot maintenance and harvest;
- Assists with hand pollination in on-site and counter season breeding nurseries;
- Works with cooperators to ensure excellent testing sites and growing conditions;
- Assists with the general care of the facility;
- Coordinates summer labor for the Yield Trial Program;
- Cooperates with Yield Trial Managers throughout the Research Team to ensure an organized, efficient testing network;
- Other duties as required.
Duties and responsibilities may be revised as needed by the Corn Breeder and /or the Director of Corn Research either verbally and/or in writing.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience;
- minimum of 5 years experience in the seed industry;
- knowledge and experience in care of plot machinery preferred;
- excellent planning and organization skills;
- ability to plan and manage multiple projects completely and accurately;
- attention to detail; problem analysis and problem resolution skills;
- strong interpersonal and communication skills required;
- positive team player and self-motivated;
- advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred) and common PC-based software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work required hours;
- ability to lift 50 lbs.;
- ability to work in both field and station as required;
- some overnight travel;
- ability to obtain and maintain a CDL license;
- must have valid driver’s license and meet the AgReliant Genetics Motor Vehicle Guidelines.
