AgReliant Genetics is currently seeking a Yield Trial Manager for our Kenyon, MN research location.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Station Manager, performs all aspects of the station’s yield trial program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, customer service and professionalism; responsible for promoting a positive image of the company and the research department.
2. Responsible for the organization of yield testing network of the breeding program;
3. Assists with data entry and data preparation as needed;
4. Manages yield crew throughout all aspects of yield trial preparation, planting, plot maintenance and harvest;
5. Assists with hand pollination in on-site and counter season breeding nurseries;
6. Works with cooperators to ensure excellent testing sites and growing conditions;
7. Assists with the general care of the facility;
8. Coordinates summer labor for the Yield Trial Program;
9. Cooperates with Yield Trial Managers throughout the Research Team to ensure an organized, efficient testing network;
10. Other duties as required.

Duties and responsibilities may be revised as needed by the Corn Breeder and /or the Director of Corn Research either verbally and/or in writing.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience;
• minimum of 5 years experience in the seed industry;
• knowledge and experience in care of plot machinery preferred;
• excellent planning and organization skills;
• ability to plan and manage multiple projects completely and accurately;
• attention to detail; problem analysis and problem resolution skills;
• strong interpersonal and communication skills required;
• positive team player and self-motivated;
• advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred) and common PC-based software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work required hours;
• ability to lift 50 lbs.;
• ability to work in both field and station as required;
• some overnight travel;
• ability to obtain and maintain a CDL license;
• must have valid driver’s license and meet the AgReliant Genetics Motor Vehicle Guidelines.
