Area Sales Manager, South America
Location: Peru

Area Sales Manager South America
The main goal of this position is to manage and develop sales to distributors in South America. Your challenge in this function is to further strengthen our position in the market and make optimal use of the available resources in the company. You will manage and supervise one local Product Development Manager and report to the Commercial Director Americas Manager.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Managing and supervising the sales to (and activity of) distributors
- Management of customer relations
- Manage forecasting and collecting business information
- Monitor the introduction of new varieties to the market
- Managing financial business matters such as prices & price policy, credit, collection, etc.
- Negotiating with authorities on registration of varieties, import-export issues
- Managing one local Product Development Manager
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field
- At list 4 years of working experience in Sales Management in South America
- Experience in working in an agricultural/horticultural environment - preferably in the vegetable seed industry
- Strong commercial, business, and financial orientation
- Knowledge and experience in import-export processes and documentation
- Flexible and able to develop the position and become part of the local culture
- Strong action-driven personality, and you are able to motivate yourself
- Good ability to interact smoothly with different levels of contact internal and external
- Excellent and effective communication, negotiating and reporting skills
- Experience with automated data processing (Excel) and other office software (Word, PowerPoint etc.)
- Good management skills
- Driver’s License
- Willing to travel frequently (national and international)
- Excellent knowledge of the Spanish and English language is a must
