Product Development Manager Seed for Europe (m/f/d)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our unit agronomic service is responsible for the technical development of seeds in Europe. We are supporting sales and marketing with product knowledge to build successful business strategies. This includes not only knowledge about seed, but the entire production technology, such as fertilization, crop protection and crop cultivation technology.

• You will ensure the interface between Breeding, Marketing and Business within Europe by developing as well as updating the hybrid wheat product passports, make proposals for product advancement and give technical advices.
• In collaboration with the regional crop protection marketing and Digital Farming team, you will build digital tools as well as crop management recommendations for the best product positioning to support sales activities.
• Furthermore, you will propose innovative trial topics, take care of protocol implementations as well as manage seed sample requirements and dispatch experimental as well as demo seed samples.
• In addition, you will monitor agricultural practices, evolutions, value chain, political and social demands on wheat production as well as develop hybrid wheat production systems to support future sustainability requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in agricultural sciences with at least three to five years of professional work experience in cereal seed business or technical development in seeds
• Experience in plant cultivation, agricultural testing, arable crop systems as well as familiar with cereal crops
• Well-versed in standard MS Office applications as well as trial data management systems
• Fluent English language skills
• Driving Licence Class B
