What to Expect?

In this 12-week developmental internship, you will work at one of our corn production facilities located in Illinois, Iowa, or Nebraska. You work in a variety of settings from production facilities to working with our growers in the field. You will gain important skills, such as what it’s like to work in production, gain valuable leadership skills, build core skills around presenting, networking, and project management. These impactful projects will help you gain more insight to the business and grow your industry knowledge. In addition, you will have opportunities to embrace new assignments throughout your time in this program by working on a variety of assignments from integrated pest management to a variety of research projects. Throughout your internship, you’ll receive regular feedback, guidance and coaching from our mentors to help you develop the skills you need to succeed.

What YOU will do:

• You will gain hands-on experience in a variety of departments related to production. This will deepen your knowledge of how the entire organization operates!
• You will develop your process knowledge within production. This will help you to understand the important processes that are impactful for a department to function well!
• You will develop relationships throughout the organization with multiple resource partners, cohorts, and leaders. Building relationships is the core of what we do!
• Engage in a variety of impactful projects like integrated pest management, raising a quality and high-yielding seed crop, and much more. This will test your project management skills!
• Present your core project work to the AgReliant Genetics Leadership Team. Innovation is what will make you stand out!
• You will develop important leadership qualities. This will help you to a better communicator and solve problems!

Qualifications AND Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or related field from an accredited school with a graduation date between December 2021 and May 2022
• Prior internship or work experience highly desired
• Must be willing to relocate
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors 60% of the time
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Have a valid driver’s license and meet Motor Vehicle requirements
