OVERALL MISSION
Within the Global Field Seeds Research organization and reporting to the Head of LFS Research licensing, the global licensing project manager will be in charge of leading all legal aspects of licensing collaborations as well as checking that contractual obligations are well respected.
She/He works in close coordination with the Heads of Crop Research, IP, germplasm officers, legal network, plant breeders, and Head of Licensing.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
In this context, your responsibilities will be:
- Coordinate and lead the different legal projects within the Licensing team in collaboration with all the LFS Research organization (breeders, traits & technologies scientist) to understand their needs. Ensure IP and Limagrain legal network (corporate and business unit legal departments) are fully aligned.
- Communicate and make visible opportunities, status and decisions on these projects
- Contribute to the negotiation phase and draft MTA, R&D collaborations and license agreements with third parties upon requests of the crops research managers.
- Monitor the life cycle of the ongoing collaborations, from contract drafting to termination including follow-up on necessary amendments / terminations in alignment with the research functions.
- Check compliance with contracts and legal restrictions when accessing or moving germplasm material across regions and Business Units.
PROFILE
- Master degree in legal with demonstrated experience in contract drafting in technologies, preferably in life sciences
- Fluent in English with global experience (mandatory)
- Knowledge of agriculture biotechnology is a must
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to facilitate and enforce guidelines or legal rules and ensure compliance in good relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a complex environment.
