Production Coordinator

Location: Western North Dakota including the Bismarck or Minot, ND area

Nuseed – Rapidly growing global business with seed sales in approximately 30 countries, plus regional headquarters and advanced trials in Australia, Europe, North America and South America. Nuseed’s global R& D teams develop unique canola, sorghum and sunflower plant input traits with agronomic and yield benefits and output traits with consumer benefits that go Beyond Yield™  by producing novel oils and proteins for completely new end use markets. 

Based in Western North Dakota including the Bismarck or Minot, North Dakota area, Nuseed has an exciting opportunity for a Production Coordinator. Region will be North Dakota and Eastern Montana. Reporting to the Production Coordinator – US Canola, this key business partner will develop and maintain relationships with local farmers and local coordinators (agents). Ensuring farmers maintain identity preservation of Omega 3 canola, and providing local logistics coordination from farm to elevator are key functions. The right candidate will also provide agronomic support to farmers. Some travel with overnight stays will be required.

Reach your potential:

  • Assist with planning and contracting to meet production targets
  • Develop and implement long term agronomic plans to support Nuseed strategy and budgets
  • Undertake field inspections of production fields by identifying weeds, disease and insect presence and provide agronomic recommendations
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with growers, industry contacts and Nuseed peers
  • Gather and disseminate market and research intelligence, including grower commercial considerations
  • Support identity preservation of omega 3 production.  This includes farmer support, taking samples and storage security
  • Logistics coordination, including trucking from farm to elevator and local relationship with elevator
  • Strong ability to gather and interpret data using various resources and tools.  Ability to present results in a manner that is clear, concise and tells the story appropriately.

We are looking for a candidate with a BS in Agriculture Sciences, or related field.  Do you have 5+ years’ experience in Production Agronomy?  Our preference is for someone with canola agronomy experience and US Canola Market knowledge.  The right person will be local to the North Dakota area with the ability to focus on providing support for the Omega 3 supply chain.  We are looking for someone that is consistent, reliable, a team player and possesses a dedication to safe working practices.
