Responsibilities Coordinate the development and implementation of procedures governing the production functions. Works closely with the Corporate Health & Safety Manager to ensure safety regulations and procedures are in place according to Corporate Health & Safety Program. Position is also responsible for coordinating training of personnel regarding production processes and health & safety as well as conducting periodic audits to ensure location is in compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Project a positive image of AgReliant Genetics
- Production Processes:
- analyze work processes and propose procedures for compliance
- implement best practices to best utilize the location resources
- establish training programs with the Inventory Quality Manager and QMS Manager
- ensure annual training is conducted and documented as required
- participate in corporate training sessions as requested
- maintain training records for location
- conduct audits to ensure compliance: take samples, check records, and perform inspections
- coordinate root cause analysis on all incidents
- perform new employee orientation
- aid Location Manager in bringing location into compliance for Quality Management System
- Health & Safety:
- schedule and conduct training as required
- maintain training records as required by Corporate Health & Safety Program
- maintain OSHA 300 Log and related documents
- chair local safety committee
- enforce and follow all safety rules
- budget/purchase and maintain PPE needs and other safety equipment
- Other duties as needed

Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- previous health & safety experience desired;
- excellent communication skills, team player;
- detail orientated;
- good computer skills – Microsoft Office;
- knowledge of seed industry and OSHA certifications preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work required hours;
- ability to lift 50 lbs.;
- able to work in both plant and field;
- some overnight travel required;
- must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the Motor Vehicle Guidelines of the Company.
