This year together with UIKC, Ad Terram Crop Support will give a demonstration in the context of resilient cultivation with their biostimulants. In the demo field, producer Ad Terram Crop Support will show that with the 100% organic (SKAL, and other certification schemes) biostimulant Optimum Leaf it is quite possible to achieve a serious reduction in conventional crop protection.
Optimum Leaf consists of a carefully selected composition of plant, tree & fruit extracts. This stimulates larger vacuoles within plant cells, allowing the plant to handle unwanted materials better. In addition, Optimum Leaf increases the turgor pressure. Both provide a natural improvement of the immune system. The product also has a positive influence on the formation of the root system and the uptake of nutrients. Due to the many extremes that characterize the 2020 season, it is a very suitable year for demonstrating the possibilities in resilient cultivation.
In addition, Ad Terram has also set up a demonstration in which the onion seed was treated with Sapphire Seed Coat Premix. Never before has there been a demonstration of seed treatment on the Dutch National Onion Day. Unique to both products is that they are free from added microplastics. Recently, this topic has appeared more frequently in a negative spotlight, because the dangers to people & the environment are increasingly coming to the forefront. It is now known that within a few years strict regulations will be introduced on the use of microplastics. This is expected to pose major challenges for the agricultural sector.
The demo of resilient cultivation and seed treatments free from added microplastics will take place on the 3 & 4 September at the Rusthoeve Trial Farm. It is, however, necessary to register in advance via the UIKC website.
Weerbare uienteelt demonstratie met Ad Terram Crop Support op Landelijke Uiendag
Dit jaar heeft Ad Terram Crop Support een demonstratie aangelegd in het kader van weerbaar telen met biostimulanten samen met UIKC. Op het demoveld laat producent Ad Terram Crop Support zien dat het met de 100% organische (SKAL gecertificeerde) biostimulant Optimum Leaf goed mogelijk is om een serieuze reductie van gewasbescherming te realiseren.
Optimum Leaf bestaat uit een zorgvuldig geselecteerde compositie van plant, boom & fruit extracten. Dit stimuleert een grotere vacuolen binnen plantencellen, waardoor de plant beter kan omgaan met ongewenste materialen. Daarnaast zorgt Optimum Leaf voor een verhoging van de turgor druk. Beide zorgen voor een natuurlijke verbetering van het afweer systeem. Ook heeft het product een positieve invloed op de vorming van het wortel gestel en de opname van nutriënten. Door de vele extremen die kenmerkend zijn voor seizoen 2020 is het een zeer geschikt jaar voor het demonstreren van de mogelijkheden in weerbaar telen.
Daarnaast heeft Ad Terram ook een demonstratie aangelegd waarbij het uienzaad is behandeld met Sapphire Seed Coat Premix. Nog niet eerder is er op de landelijke uiendag een demonstratie geweest van zaaizaadbehandeling. Uniek aan beide producten is dat ze vrij zijn van bewust toegevoegde microplastics. Dit onderwerp staat de laatste tijd vaker negatief in de schijnwerpers, doordat de gevaren voor mens & milieu steeds vaker naar voren komen. Inmiddels is het bekend dat er binnen enkele jaren strenge regelgeving gaat komen op het gebruik microplastics. Verwacht wordt dat dit de landbouwsector voor grote uitdagingen gaat zetten.
De demo weerbaar telen en zaaizaad vrij van bewust toegevoegde microplastics kunnen worden bezocht op 3 & 4 september op Proefboerderij Rusthoeve. Wel is het nodig om vooraf aan te melden via de website van het UIKC.
