Plantgene Seeds Limited offers contract multiplication/production services in respect of open-pollinated and hybrid vegetable seeds: beans, cucumber, eggplant, hot/sweet pepper, muskmelon, okra, squash, tomato, watermelon, etc. Our capabilities combined with low-cost production make this proposition attractive. Our presence in a diverse range of agro-climatic zones makes it possible to produce vegetable seeds round the year in India. We have equipment and facilities for seed testing, cleaning and packing.

The company does contract seed production of several vegetables and field crops for numerous customers in USA, South America, Europe, Africa/Middle East and Asia/Pacific.

Plantgene develops, produces and markets a full line of proprietary hybrids in India: sunflower, corn, sorghum sudangrass, grain sorghum, multi-cut fodder millet, pearl millet, fodder millet and rice. Having been incorporated in 2003, the company's research and production activities are located largely in the southern Indian cities of Hyderabad and Bangalore, while the corporate office is in Gurgaon – a suburb of New Delhi.

The company’s Research and Development program has been formally approved and recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

The management team is led by Madan Khunnah, a Chartered Accountant and MBA (USA) with about 25 years’ experience in the seed industry. He was Country Manager/CEO (India) for several years with Pioneer Hi-Bred International prior to his association with Plantgene.
