UPOV webinar on plant variety right applications in New Zealand and Australia

New Zealand
February 5, 2025

IPONZ will join UPOV for a webinar on using the UPOV PRISMA system to make plant variety rights applications in New Zealand and Australia.

IPONZ is pleased to announce How to make plant variety applications in Australia and New Zealand, a webinar to be held by the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV).

This webinar will provide an overview of UPOV PRISMA, an online tool designed to facilitate plant variety protection (PVP) applications across PVP Offices worldwide.

UPOV PRISMA can be used to file PVP applications to the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand (IPONZ), as well as 36 other jurisdictions covering 70+ countries, some of which also accept applications for national listing. UPOV PRISMA provides a unified user interface for all applications, simplifying the submission process.

UPOV PRISMA also has functionalities that support applications for various PVP offices, including translation tools and the ability to copy previous applications. UPOV PRISMA fees are payable in addition to application fees charged by individual PVP offices.

This Zoom webinar will be held on Monday, 17 February 2025, at 8:00pm NZT. It will feature a 60-minute presentation, followed by a Q&A for your questions.

You can register for this event online via the UPOV website. No registration fees apply.
