To support that challenge, we are currently seeking a Seeds Business Improvement Lead for North America in Downers Grove, IL.
You will help shape the future of agriculture by:
- Managing and delivering strategically prioritized projects, engaging regional and functional seeds stakeholders from initial build through execution
- Developing and adapting projects using agile methodology
- Embedding change management in project delivery
- Driving results: Assess and identify risks and changing business needs that may lead adjustments in projects or changes to process to achieve excellence in delivery
- Designing sustainable processes to support innovation and drive continuous improvement and productivity
Accountabilities
- Project Management: Leading highly visible and complex improvement initiatives facilitating teams to shape, manage, implement, and sustain improvements ensuring delivery on time, to target and within budget. Drive the implementation of strategic projects together with stakeholders. Build, implement, monitor projects, including building plan, charters, business case, stakeholder analysis, user requirements, and other information needed to develop and execute projects
- Black Belt and Agile leader, coaching, mentoring, and training Belts on Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement. Coach and teach employees, teams, and leaders at all levels of the organization on the application of improvement methodologies, techniques and how to create an improvement culture
- Provide portfolio project and process leadership by teaching, coaching and mentoring employees and teams, at all levels of the organization, to develop their business improvement/continuous improvement skills
- Drive a mindset and actions around valuation of improvement benefits through favorable KPI movement and the understanding of related financial impacts
- Drive results: Assess and identify risks and changing business needs that may lead adjustments in projects or changes to process to achieve excellence in delivery with ability to develop and adapt projects in uncertainty and ambiguity
Qualifications
Requirements
- 2+ years as a Black Belt or Master Black Belt
- > 5 years of Experience in business project / program management with application of project and program management methodologies in large / complex projects
- Data and process driven including excellent analytical thinking and planning ability
- Trained in a change management methodology
- Strong capability to develop, coach & teach others in structured problem solving and managing change
Preferred Requirements
- Degree in a technical / commercial field in agriculture / plant biology
- Extensive experience (> 5 years) working in Seeds Production or Development
- International experience working with multiple teams and cultures
- Expertise in process design methodologies and techniques
- Expertise in business process management and value stream mapping
