Product Development Specialist, Midwest USA (M/F)

Location: U.S. Midwest (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio)

For our subsidiary in the USA we are looking for a Product Development Specialist, Midwest USA (M/F).

Your challenge is to further strengthen our position on the Midwest markets, by making optimal use of the available resources in the company. Your personal input will make the difference. Being based in the Midwest, you will be focused on Product Development and Sales Promotion for this region and report directly to the Eastern Sales Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Managing and conducting field trials of development varieties in the assigned territory, independently as well as in conjunction with our distributors in this region.
  • Work with the dealer network to trial, promote Hazera varieties.
  • Develop a Hazera network of key growers/shippers in the territory.
  • Represent Hazera in tradeshows, open days etc. in your territory. 
  • Provide support for breeder trials and visits of Product Managers and Breeders in your territory.

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field and minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales/ PD position, preferably in the vegetable seed industry. Focus crops are onion, radish, brassica, watermelon, tomato.
  • Open communicator with good interpersonal skills, able to interact between different disciplines in Hazera USA team, customers and dealer network;
  • Professional reporting and computer skills;
  • You have a strong action-driven personality, and you are able to motivate yourself
  • Drivers License;
  • Willing to travel frequently and spend periods of time in the Southeast during the months of December - March
