POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Seed Laboratory Manager
Manage seed laboratory personnel and seed laboratory. Make certain SDI protocols are followed, monitor all aspects of seed analyzing procedures, analyze and enter data, have data entered, management of lab supplies and inventory, make certain lab is always maintained in an organized, clean and safe manner. Safety coordinator County, state and federal regulation compliance oversight.
Organic certification and compliance coordinator
Duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Manage and supervise;
Preparation and procedures for seed analysis. Planting and maintain testing of seedlings under controlled environments.
- Collection and processing of preprocess, postprocess and research seed samples and sample preparation.
- Conduct seed health testing following SDI protocols and established A.O.S.A.
germination standards and regulations.
- Analyze results and ensure data entries are accurate.
- Monitor and maintain germination equipment to ensure that the tests are conducted accurately and consistently.
- Complete projects in a timely, efficient and safe manner.
- Inventory management of lab related supplies, equipment, materials and chemical products.
- Maintain laboratories in a clean, safe and organized manner.
- Oversees production scheduling, networking with Customer Service.
- Manage Safety and Training Orientations.
- Assist in planning and organizing research and recording subsequent data.

Candidate criteria
Minimum level of education required; Registered Seed Technician, Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred but not essential.
Minimum level of experience required: 3 years seed laboratory experience.
