About Antaris Seeds:

The mission of Antaris Seeds is to supply our customers with a consistent source of high quality vegetable seeds that exceeds the market standards. We offer seeds of proven open pollinated and hybrid varieties, both proprietary and public selections. Antaris Seeds has extensive experience and expertise in seed production and varietal development. We partner with a network of seed distributors throughout the world to serve professional vegetable growers.

Missions:

  • Develop product profiles for all important crops.
  • Manage the product range within each respective geographical location: collaboration with the sales and development departments in terms of market positioning and new product launches.
  • Introducing new varieties and selecting and evaluation all new varieties in the market.
  • Arrange the trials (screening and demo trials) , follow up , evaluation ,reporting and make conclusion .
  • Build up data base for the market and customers.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the changing market trends and grower needs
  • Maintain a high-level knowledge of competitors’ key varieties.
  • Build up a marketing plan for each important crop, including gap analysis.
  • Put all new varieties in the right place and right time and right segment (positioning the varieties ).
  • Analyse market development, dynamics and required actions needed to improve profitability and market share by crop.
  • Define the price list based on the performance of the varieties and market conditions.
  • Refine the product positioning for launching varieties and define the key buying factors.
  • Input variety forecasts for three years forward and review for Seed Production.
  • Give technical support to key producers, leverage technical knowledge to the Sales teams and provide after sales support.
  • Provide investigation support for customer complaints.
  • Elaborate technical information necessary for technical file, brochure, and catalogues.
  • Review product performances; identify gaps and relative corrective actions for product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or Horticulture, or equivalent field experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the Vegetable Seed industry is highly preferred
  • Ability to implement new market and business development plans to achieve profitable growth
  • Ability to forecast sales and budgets
  • Trial set up, planting and evaluation experience
  • General experience in sales with knowledge of standard sales techniques
  • Ability to implement new market / business development plans to achieve profitable growth
  • Ability to forecast sales and budgets
  • Must possess crop management technical skills
  • Current Knowledge of the Market and Key players and distributors in the countries within the region.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive work relationships with associates, dealers, grower customers and related industry personnel
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis throughout the assigned territory, and to company/industry meetings as required •Position requires up to 80% field travel within assigned territory
  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
