Customer Account Specialist

Description
 
What You Will Do:

Provides reliable, high quality customer service to an assigned client base of Syngenta Vegetable seeds business.  Also provides order management support from the initiation through fulfilment, acting as the primary point of contact for customer related queries and issues.

Who You Are:
  • Supports the Sales team / other in-country teams by managing agreed customer contact activities to effectively fulfil customer requirements
  • Acts as initial point of contact for Syngenta customers, providing front-line customer and order management support
  • Manages internally the full lifecycle of sales and return orders from order entry and confirmation to product delivery and invoicing
  • Communicates with Production and Supply stakeholders as required to with respect to supply and demand and/or inventory issues
  • Ensure shortage allocations are executed at Customer order level as mandated by the allocation team decisions
  • Operationalizes customer service-related commercial policies (e.g. dealer program T&C, booking discounts, order management policies such as minimum order quantity, returns, logistics service levels, etc.)
  • Manages final seasonal settlement of customer accounts, ensuring accounts are settled in line with the commercial policies, customer agreement and approval compliancy processes
  • Responsible for all documents required e.g. Pro forma invoices, Letters of Credits, Contracts (buyer/seller), Non-GMO, import permits for international sales, etc.
  • Support the Quality Officer for complaint handling related to the assigned Customer base
  • Manage and monitor return shipments and coordinate credit process
  • Advice customers on product enquiries: product-; variety-, treatment-, packaging-, price information and rely for detailed technical support to Product manager concerned
  • Assist in keeping customer database up to date
Qualifications
 
You Have:
  • Degree or equivalent in Business Logistics, International Trade or Supply Chain
  • 3 Years’ experience in a logistics function in customer service or order management role (preferably in a seed company and export order management)
  • Knowledge of seeds import/export requirements and document related: e.g. Phyto certificate, ISTA
  • Advanced level of understanding of Order Management processes
  • Good level of understanding of SAP & reporting tools
  • Understanding of finance & trade compliance (SOX, Foreign Trade)
  • Language skills: Fluent in both English/Spanish
  • Knowledge of Planning Cycles, Sales Cycles, Production and Processes and Sales
  • Microsoft office tools literacy
  • Experience with MRP/ERP 3 systems
  • This position will manage Customer accounts in different countries within Americas (from Canada to South America) eventually travel to customers and/or other Syngenta sites would be required. Also eventually for the onboarding training
