MBI Senior Management to speak at upcoming international conferences

Marrone Bio Innovations, Inc. (NASDAQ:MBII), (MBI) a leading provider of bio-based pest management and plant health products for the agriculture, turf and ornamental and water treatment markets, continues its mission of education and promotion of bio-based pest management products with presentations at the 2nd Biocontrol Asia Conference in Bangkok, Thailand (https://www.newaginternational.com/images/documents/784/Biocontrol Asia 2017 -FINAL Agenda-25 May.pdf) and the AgChem Summit 2017 in Raleigh, NC USA (http://www.agrochemicalsummit.com/event-overview/2017-agenda).

Sr. Director of International Business, Julie Versman, will deliver a presentation in Thailand on Friday, June 9th titled "From Discovery to Delivery: The Making of a Microbial Bioinsecticide."  Versman will provide insight into MBI's approach to rapidly bringing a novel microorganism to the market and to developing the next generation formulation.

Keith Pitts, Chief Sustainability Officer, will speak on Wednesday, June 7th in Raleigh on "A Retrospective of Pesticide Policy: The Co-emergence of IPM and Biological Products." Now more than twenty years old, the US Environmental Protection Agency biopesticide regulatory framework has been instrumental in promoting the development of bio-based products.  Even prior to the establishment of a biopesticide regulatory division, government initiatives to promote Integrated Pest Management and the use of reduced risk pest management strategies served in critical role in establishing the United States at the vanguard of bringing biological products into mainstream agriculture. Pitts will discuss key factors that have brought biopesticides into the mainstream of agriculture and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for increased adoption of bio-based products.
